Associate Dean • Academic Library Leader • Technology & Higher Education
I’m an academic library leader focused on helping libraries, people, and technology work better together.
I currently serve as Associate Dean for Student & Scholar Services at the University of Denver University Libraries, where I oversee Access Services, Reference & Instruction, Exhibits, Special Collections & Archives, and the Music Library.
Before joining DU, I was Head of Education & Research at the University of Colorado Strauss Health Sciences Library, where I led a team of informationists and coordinated reference, education, and professional literature searching services.
Earlier in my career, I served as Library Director at Red Rocks Community College and worked in a variety of library technology and web development roles, including at the Auraria Library and the University of Colorado Denver.
What I’m Interested In
My work sits at the intersection of library leadership, technology, communication, and user experience.
I’m particularly interested in how libraries can use technology thoughtfully, build healthier organizations, communicate more effectively, and create better experiences for the people they serve.
I also teach graduate library and information science courses at the University of Denver, including collection management and related topics.
Beyond the Library
I live in the Denver area with my husband, David, our Australian Shepherd, and our three college-aged children in close orbit.
When we’re outside, we’re usually skiing, riding bike paths, or exploring Colorado’s 4WD trails. At home, there’s generally some combination of video games, crafting, sewing, and music happening—often involving instruments that live primarily in the bass clef.
