I am Associate Dean for Student & Scholar Services at the University of Denver University Libraries, overseeing Access Services, Reference & Instruction, Exhibits, Special Collections and Archives, and the Music Library. Immediately prior, I was the Head of the Education & Research Department at the University of Colorado Strauss Health Sciences Library on the Anschutz Medical Campus, where I supervised a fabulous team of six informationists, coordinating the reference, education, and professional literature searching activities. From 2014-2017, I was the library director at Red Rocks Community College in Lakewood, Colorado, and before that, I worked various jobs as a library-based web developer, including a long stint at the University of Colorado Denver’s downtown campus, at the Auraria Library.
My husband David and I live in the southern suburbs of Denver, with two Australian Shepherds and our three college-aged children in close orbit. We enjoy stereotypically Colorado-y things, like skiing, and when it’s not winter, we can be found on bike paths and 4WD trails anywhere along the Front Range and the mountains. If we’re inside, some faction of us is playing video games while the other crafts or sews, OR playing music on an assortment of primarily bass clef musical instruments.
